The BLAIR HOLT MEMORIAL FOUNDATION c/o BLAIR HOLT PEACE ALLIANCE was established and founded by it's executive director, Ronald Holt, Blair's dad, with blessings and approval from Blair's mom and chairperson, Annette, with help and inspiration from board members as youth/social/political and education liaisons, Camiella Williams and Christine Goggins. Other original board members are the foundation's president, Elgin Holt, Cedric Holt, Lisa, Craig, Lori and Thomas Brown. The foundation's key staff members are Lisa and Taylor Holt, entreprenuer Veronica Martin, Marcellus Keller and Karen Baker.
MISSION STATEMENT and INITIATIVE: The BLAIR HOLT MEMORIAL FOUNDATION c/o BLAIR HOLT PEACE ALLIANCE is committed to providing youth, parents, and the community with essential life-skills-components with information, resources, and education necessary to stem and reduce all forms of violence with peaceful and non-violent resolve by teaching social-etiquette-skill-sets, positive communication methods, respect for self and others, while moving forward to rebuild the village through spiritual enrichment, economic development and establishing a positive family support system by first learning that any business begins with nurturing and cultivating the matter of "family business.
The founder/executive director, Ronald Holt, president, Elgin Holt and chairperson, Annette Nance-Holt, youth /education/politcal and social-justice liaisons, Christine Goggins and Camiella Williams have been called upon to speak at many venues and support efforts relative to the issue of teen/youth/gun-violence, such as marches, rallies, prayer vigils, schools, churches and lobbying state-elected leaders to support common-sense gun bills to become gun laws. Ronald Holt has spoken at the Congressional Black Caucus and the Heritage Foundation on C-Span in Washington, DC and on numerous media outlets such as CNNs Anderson Cooper-AC/360, CNN news, BET, CBS, ABC national news, Rev. Al Sharpton's nationally syndicated radio show, "KEEPIN' IT REAL;" Rev. Jesse Jackson's nationally syndicated Rainbow/PUSH & UPFRONT television program; The OPRAH WINFREY SHOW with Blair's mom, chairperson, Annette Nance-Holt, and virtually all of the local and highly-respected media outlets in Chicago.
Executive director Ronald Holt and president Elgin Holt recently particpated on a panel-discussion October 2009, called "Stopping Teen Violence: Time To Deliver" held at and sponsored by Chicago State University with the American Bar Association's Council on Racial and Ethnic Justice.
