KOB Kids Off The Block ( 773) 995-9077
Kids Off The Block (KOB), a non-profit 50l(c)3 organization also called the “Social Center” which was established in September, 2003. Our mission and commitment is to reach out to those who have been labeled low to moderate income “at-risk youth”, engaging and interacting with them through positive programs and activities. Our vision is to engage the youth in after school programs, weekend retreats, and family/community-oriented events thus eliminating the influence of involvement with gangs, violence, alcohol, drugs and juvenile justice system occurrences.

Lazarus Jones Save Our Children Campaign (773) 386-0750
All in the name of my son Lazarus Jones (R.I.P1993-2007), who was brutally beaten to death on the north- side of Chicago on 02-20-07 at the age of thirteen. In one night his dreams were taken from him. Lazarus attended Budlong Elementary School, where he was an eighth grade honor student. I am now the voice of Lazarus, speaking to save all children from violence. My heart’s desire is to stop the violence in order to prevent other parents from experiencing the pain of burying their children. I have traded my quiet nature in, for public activism, rather than suffer beneath the rubble of my grief. In the name Lazarus I dedicated my time and efforts into creating such programs as Parents Control Protection, which is designed to provide protection for our children as they go to and from school.
